Mark Howard Ebberts

Mark Howard Ebberts, age 71, of Fairview, Oregon passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 surrounded by the love of his dear family and friends. Mark was a retired, published economist, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and great uncle.

He was born in Portland, Oregon on April 15, 1952. He graduated from Madison High School in 1970. Shortly after, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served from 1970 to 1976. After his service he attended college, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Rangeland Resources from Oregon State University in 1979 and a Master’s of Science degree in Economics in 1981. He was hired at Bonneville Power Administration in 1983 as an economist until he retired in May of 2011.

Mark was a lifelong Denver Bronco’s fan. He loved exploring the desert, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He was very active in his church.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Virginia Ebberts and his brother Blaine. He is survived by his wife, Vicki, sons Shane (Cara) and Justin, Grandchildren Jayden, Caiden and Braxton and brother Lance, and several nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered for his sharp mind, quick wit and humor. He will be missed and forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
