Mitchell was born on March 20, 1960 in Portland, Oregon and was the son of Maurice and Margaret (Burns) Arthurs. He attended Parkrose High School and completed his GED at Mt. Hood Community College.
In 1986, he married Susan in Woodburn, Oregon. They were later divorced. He resided in Gresham for many years and later returned to Portland. He was a mechanic by trade.
Mitchell was very social and enjoyed the beach, riding ATV’s, camping and fishing.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Arthurs and Simon Quigley both of Woodburn, his mom, Margaret Arthurs of Portland, dad, Maurice Arthurs of Vancouver and his brother, Jeff Arthurs of Gresham. His brother, David preceded him in death in 1978.
A celebration of Mitchell’s life was already held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
