Onie Marie McIntyre

She was born July 31, 1908 in Milton-Freewater to Frederick and Hanna Meihoff. She moved to Orenco in 1928 and graduated from Hillsboro High School.

On November 2, 1933 she married John Henry McIntyre. She moved to Gresham where she was a homemaker. Mrs. McIntyre enjoyed family, gardening, volunteering for the Red Cross and her church.

Mrs. McIntyre joined Trinity Lutheran Church in 1939. She remained an active member throughout her life in Gresham. She taught Sunday school, served on many committees and as the Sunday school superintendent.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, her parents, 3 brothers, a sister and a grandson.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law. Gary and Loene McIntyre of Ft. Collins Co., John and Nancy McIntyre of Alto, Mi., five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in the memory of Onie McIntyre be made to the American Red Cross.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham at 10:00am on Wednesday May 30th. Mrs. McIntyre will be laid to rest privately with her husband at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
