

Patrick J. Mulvey, a Gresham/Portland area resident, died on January 29, 2012 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 66. Patrick was born on October 12, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to Robert and Betty (Smith) Mulvey.
Patrick grew up on Oregon City living most all of his life in Oregon. He graduated from Oregon City High School. Then Patrick attended and graduated from Oregon College of Education in Monmouth, Oregon. Patrick worked in Lansing, Michigan where he taught newly blind adults how to read braille. Patrick worked for the Social Security Administration for 29 years.
Patrick was a musician. In the 1960’s he and his twin brother Michael were part of a 4 man blind musical group called “The Twilighters” where they produced two records. Patrick also enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his loving wife Dee, of Portland, OR., daughter, Alessa Mulvey, Gresham, OR., twin brother, Michael Mulvey, of Portland, OR., sister Marcia Mulvey, of Portland, OR., two grandchildren, Ryelee (7) and Alexander (4).
Donations may be given to the Salvation Army.
Celebration of Patrick’s life will be on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church, 473 SE 194th Ave. in Portland.
