Penny Eileen Burson Hannam

Penny passed away June 11,2012 surrounded by her family after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer in Gresham, OR. She was born November 3, 1942 in San Francisco, CA to Milton and Lee Burson. She was a graduate of David Douglas High School in Portland, OR and studied at The College of St. Mary’s in Omaha, NE. Penny was a Business Development Manager for Kroger Prescription Plans at the time of her death. In addition to her long professional career she enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing and gardening.

Survived by her husband Bernie Hannam of Gresham, OR, mother Lee Burson of Gresham, OR, sisters Pat Kouva of Milwaukie, OR and Merrilee Weber of West Linn, OR, brothers Rusty Burson of Troutdale, OR and Mark Burson of Gresham, OR sons Ron Markworth of Portland, OR and Steve Hannam of Tillamook, OR, daughters Laura Downing of Houston, TX and Kimberly Maguire of Gresham,OR. Grandchildren Wyatt, Hannah, Liam and Kaitlyn, Great grandsons Brock and Carter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 30, 2012 Oaks Park, Portland, OR from 12 – 4 picnic area 6.
