Becky was born on August 13, 1955 in Andrews, Texas. She grew up in West Texas and Gaylord, Michigan where she graduated from Gaylord Community High School in 1973. She went on to attend Odessa College in Odessa, Texas where she earned her degree in Medical Lab Technology.
On April 23, 1976, Becky married Gary Lee Ihle at the First Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas. She worked for the local hospital for a few years and later transferred to Midland Memorial in Texas. In 1989 she moved to the Portland Area where she worked for a private doctor and later Providence Health Systems.
Becky was very talented. She made professional quality cross stitch pieces, was a wonderful seamstress, and a gourmet cook. She was also a talented writer of short stories and was working on her first novel. She enjoyed the outdoors and found pleasure in canoeing the Oregon water ways, camping, hiking and visiting the beach. She was also very giving of her time and volunteered with the Youth at Lynchwood Church of God serving as the Head of Crafts for their children’s camp.
Becky was a sensitive spirit. She was strong; a true survivor of life. She had opinions and ideas and had a gift of impacting the lives of others in some of the most positive ways. She will be dearly missed by her family and her church family as well as by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Becky is survived by her husband, Gary Ihle of Gresham and her brothers, Mike Wendland and Dave Wendland both of Texas.
