Sara was born in Newberg Oregon on a beautiful day May 15, 1969. She was a surprise to her parents who both were young teenagers, Sylvia 17 and Paul 18. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to stay together so they split up and went their separate ways, eventually marrying other people. They each had more wonderful children, Kristina and Daniel Gannon and Eli Harold. After 20 years, when Sylvia was going through a divorce, Sara found her father Paul Harold who was also single at the time. This brought her parents back together. Sylvia and Paul reunited and married six months later in 1989. Still together!
Sara grew up in Portland, Oregon and moved around Southern California and eventually back up to Oregon. She had a successful career in the banking industry and then went into security the last few years.
She loved plants, writing, cooking, baking, crafting, animals, music, fishing and sewing. Sara was a prolific writer, she had a wonderfully distinct writing voice and many thoughtful expressions. She was joyful and creative, she always had music playing and a smile on her face. She had a few cats, Berdy, Yoda, and Garfield. And her beloved sidekick, a wonderful dog named Morgan who she adored.
She had a favorite place on the river she liked to go to meditate. Sara and Morgan spent many hours here searching for agates and special river rocks for her collection. She found serenity in nature and found beauty in the outdoors.
She was beautiful inside and out. She almost had too much empathy. It hurt her to see people without support and care. She would give whatever she had to help and was always willing to lend an ear, to listen and to share. She had been through many hardships in her life but she was a strong woman who preserved and made the world a better place.
