Sevai Anna Ruth Johnson-Mantor

Sevai Anna Ruth Johnson-Mantor, age 15, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023, in her home in Portland, Oregon. She was born September 20, 2007, in Juneau, Alaska, to Christina Mantor and Douglas Johnson Sr.

She was a wonderful soul, and was kind to everyone she came in contact with. Sevai had a love for many things including dancing, painting, photography, horror movies, and playing video games. She was a light in everyone’s life, and loved very dearly.

She is survived by her siblings, Christopher Douglas Jr., Andrew Johnson, Delilah Maki, Abrianna and Adaira Bailey; parents, Christina Mantor and Douglas Johnson Sr.; stepdad, Denzel Bailey; grandparents, John and Rose Phillips; aunt, Elizabeth Phillips; uncles, Juan Quintanilla, George Benson, and Warren Price; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Sevai is preceded in death by uncles, Howard, Paulie, Fred, and Milton Phillips; aunts, Flora Beierly, Vivian Taylor, Virginia Kinsey, and Pauline Case; and grandparents, Paul Eli and Daisy Phillips.

Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to the medical staff at Doernbechers Children’s Hospital, OHSU, Randall’s Children’s Hospital, all the pediatric ER staff and Legacy Hospice staff.

Thank you all for supporting our strong warrior, we truly appreciate you all from the bottom of our hearts.

A Celebration of Life Service for Sevai will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030.
