Shirley Ann Hoff

Shirley A. Hoff, 77, of Fairview, passed away on August 09, 2016. She was born in Harvey, North Dakota on October 03, 1938 to Glen and Martha (Hefta) Frost and was raised with six siblings, Robert, Marshall, Sheldon, Betty, Chuck and Dorothy. Shirley graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1956; and she married the love of her life Charles “Chuck” Hoff on May 29, 1965. Together, Shirley and Chuck raised four children; Dawna, Bobby, Gary and Toni.

Caring, Non-confrontational, amazing cook, ever present and nurturing are just a few words used to describe Shirley and the life she lived. Shirley was also detailed orientated and that showed through the many quilts she created over the years. Shirley was a proud mother and grandmother; she enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren sporting events and school activities.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Glen & Martha; siblings, Robert, Marshall, Sheldon, Betty & Chuck. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Chuck; children, Dawna (Mike), Bobby (Rhonda), Gary (Shelly), Toni (Garret); grandchildren, Craig, Scott, Chris, Ryan, Rachel, Samantha, Allen, Kyle & Luke; great grandchildren, Lexi, Ava, Jaydyn & Sharlea; sister, Dorothy; and her pet cat, Oscar.

Shirley will be remembered for being a devoted mother and an all-around good person. A memorial service will be held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18th at 1:00pm; a reception will be held at the Gresham Golf Course directly following the service.
