Theodore Marcus Robertson

Theodore Marcus Robertson, age 86, passed away May 13, 2015, in Provo, Utah. He was born June 16, 1928 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon to Harold Marcus Robertson and Melba Irene Wilson. He attended Vernon Elementary School, Benson High School, and Brigham Young University.

He married Donna Sorenson on March 23, 1953 in Logan, Utah. They were the parents of seven children. He was a devoted caregiver to Donna for many years until her passing in 2002. He married Jessie Covey Edwards on October 29, 2003 in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Ted loved to play the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and piano. He also loved to read and watch television. He owned a construction company and was skilled at driving trucks and operating heavy equipment. He was a great handyman and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He enjoyed singing in the ward choir and said “it kept him young. He is survived by his wife Jessie C. Robertson Provo, UT; his daughters Narda L. Hammons (Jim) in Gresham, OR, Susan Jolley (Michael) in Herriman, UT, Laura Robertson in Provo, UT, Sharon M. Robertson in West Valley City, UT, and Joanne Harper (Doug) in Vancouver, WA; his sons David T. Robertson (Kristi) in Boring, OR and Jeffery S. Robertson (Stephanie) in Salina, KS; his sister Joyce M. Fields (Jeff) Arizona; and his 25 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Stephen Arnold Douglas Wilson and Elizabeth Jane Smith, and Robert Earl Robertson and Fannie Juliet Sears; his parents Harold Marcus Robertson and Melba Irene Wilson; his wife Donna Sorenson Robertson; his brother Robert Douglas Robertson; his sister Donna Irene Hill; and two great grandchildren.

Services in Provo, Utah will be May 21, 2015 at the LDS Chapel on 2801 West 620 North at 11:00 am. The viewing will be held at 10:00 am.

Services in Portland, Oregon will be May 29, 2015 at the LDS Chapel on 22801 S.E. Stark Street at 11:00 am. The viewing will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Portland, Oregon directly after the service.
