Timothy Joseph Fitzgerald

Timothy Joseph Fitzgerald passed away on November 25, 2015 in Gresham Oregon. Born to John and Clara Fitzgerald, he grew up in Portland and graduated from Benson Tech. After attending high school, Tim went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad and then on to the US Postal Service.

In the spring of 1979, Tim married the love of his life, Trudi Grobe, at the Holy Redeemer Church in Portland Oregon. The couple lived in Gresham and attended St. Henry’s Church for 31 years.

Tim will be forever remembered for being selfless, caring, and personable. He found joy in helping those in need, be it friend or stranger. Tim’s sense of humor and positive outlook on life are some of the characteristics that drew others towards him. Since his retirement in 2011, Tim enjoyed fishing with friends, traveling, and spending time with those he loved.

Tim is survived by his wife Trudi; his daughter Stephanie Hixson and her husband David; daughter Janeen Rainey, her husband Scott and granddaughter Brooklyn; as well as eight brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
