

Virginia Susan Harding passed away on April 7, 2017, at her home in Gresham, Oregon. She was born on August 30, 1952, in Salem, Oregon, to her parents: John C. Donald III and Irene Marie Florence (Donald). She attended Sam Barlow High School, from which she graduated in 1970.
On November 17, 1972, Virginia married the love of her life, James Harding, in Portland, Oregon. They were married until her passing. Together, they had two children, Katie and Susan.
Virginia worked in the Banking Industry from 1972 until 2001, beginning her career as a Teller at US Bank. Then, she worked for the Federal Reserve before taking her retirement to be a grandmother. For the past 15 years, she attended Mt. View Christian Church.
Virginia enjoyed golfing and bowling. She was an avid reader, and she had a passion for travel. Together, Virginia and James visited many places including Mexico, Canada, Europe, Israel, the Grand Canyon, Hawaii and Alaska. She was particularly fond of Barcelona, Hamburg, and Vienna. Virginia will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and for being a loving wife and mother.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, James Harding of Gresham; daughters, Katie Harding of San Diego and Susan (Ron) Frashour of Gresham; grandchildren, Isabelle and Luke Frashour of Gresham; brother, Danny Donald of Medford; and sisters; Jeanne Jones of Lincoln City, Nancy Shelton of Gresham, Mary Segock of Anchorage, and Becky Rice of Congress, AZ.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 21st, 2017, at Mt View Christian Church. A Private Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. She will be missed.
