Wayne Michael Cupper

Wayne Michael Cupper, 50 of Gresham OR, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2015 surrounded by family in his home. He was born on September 10, 1965 in Gresham, Oregon to Ralph and Nancy (Hartley) Cupper. Wayne was a 1984 graduate of Gresham High School and was a veteran of the US Navy from 1984 to 1988 where he served as a boiler tech on the USS Wabash. He married Joanne Lynne Bos on March 11, 2000 in Clackamas, Oregon.

Wayne worked with his brotherhood since 2001 with Ironworkers Shopmens Local 516 before he retired in 2013 and was a member of Mountain View Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, camping, golfing and loved his Jeep and time spent with his family.

Wayne is survived by his wife Joanne Cupper of Gresham OR; daughter Amy Wilson and husband Joshua of Gresham OR; sons David Hines and wife Danielle of Eubank KY and Cody Hines and wife Brianna of Olympia WA; brother Wade Cupper of Gresham OR; aunt Sharon Means of Gresham OR and grandchildren Sierra, Vanessa, Austin, Blake, Chloe, Dylan, Nevaeh, Hailey, Ava, Kylee, Brayden and Titus.

A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Mountainview Christian Church, 1890 NE Cleveland Ave in Gresham, Oregon. Contributions may be made as donations to the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute to fight pancreatic cancer. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
