Anthony "Scott" Newsted

Mr. Newsted was born March 18, 1968 in Onaway, MI. He enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycles. Mr. Newsted was a fighter who fought his cancer to the end. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.D. & Lois Johnson & Jack & Mable Newsted; father, Gary Frank Newsted, Sr.; grand-daughter, Jaliyah Newsted and step-father, Don Foster.

Mr. Newsted is survived by his children, Deyvon Newsted of Griffin and Brandon Newsted also of Griffin; 3 grandchildren; sisters & brothers, Elisha & Jay Wood of Grand Blanc, MI, Shannon Bryan of Onaway, MI, Clarissa Bentley of Onaway, MI, Gary & Stacy Newsted of Griffin and Kevin & Candy Foster of Senoia; mother, Lorna Foster of Davison, MI and step-mother, Arlene Newsted. Several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Anthony (Scott) Newsted will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor Mick Savage will officiate. Friends may visit the family 2 hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in the name of Jaliyah Newsted, 1405 Clifton Rd., N.E., Atlanta, GA 30322 in memory of Mr. Newsted.
