

Mrs. Denman was born in Spalding County on June 3, 1926, to the late Clark and Thelma Gill Putman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Alton “Bo” Denman and loving husband of forty four years and father of her five children, William “Bill” Pilcher, sisters Peggy Putman Algren and Maxine Putman Porter.
She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church of Griffin and recently shared to her children that she was saved at the age of 13 and was ready to see Jesus. She truly loved the Lord. Mrs. Denman loved gardening and watching her flowers grow and bloom in all their colorful splendor. She also loved to travel and see all of God’s amazing creations.
Mrs. Denman raised five children who loved her as dearly as she loved them. She was a wonderful mother. She will be missed not only by her family but everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Brightmoor Assisted Living, Brightmoor Nursing Center and Brightmoor Hospice as well as a very special thank you to a special friend Diane Norris.
Survivors include daughter and son in law Carol and Mac Taylor of Williamson, son and daughter in law Chris and Carol Pilcher of Rutledge, daughter Kathy Brake of Griffin, Daughter and son in law Marcia and Bill Posten of Meansville, and son and daughter in law Mark and Sheron Pilcher of Griffin; grandchildren, Steve Bryant, Christy Mitchell, Kim Sitzmann, Nicki Brake-Mason, Emily Pilcher, Lane Pilcher and Lindy Pruitt; great grandchildren, Elija and Alex Bryant, Hunter, Turner, Cooper, and Zoe Mitchell, Katelyn and Kayla Mason, Kingsley, Collin and Clark Sitzmann as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn Pilcher Denman will be conducted today, Sunday June 17, 2012, at 4 PM in Westwood Gardens. Rev. John Nance will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 PM until time for the service.
