Hovis Hugh Copeland

Mr. Copeland was born November 25, 1927 in Jesup, son of the late Frank & Christian Crummey Copeland. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended the First Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Ann Copeland and granddaughter, Brenda Alicia Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Alice Brown Copeland of Milner; daughter, Brenda Wilson of Milner; son & daughter-in-law, Rick & Pamela Copeland of Marietta; daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Keith Tate of Milner; grandchildren, Stephanie & Steven Rigsby, Laura & Brandon Conn, Paul Copeland, Kay Copeland and John Christian Wilson; sister, Joan Poppell of Odum, GA. and great-grandchildren, Ava, Ellia & Jack Conn.

Funeral services for Mr. Hovis Hugh Copeland will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Randy Valimont, Rev. Edgar Waters and Pastor George Jacobs will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
