James "Jimmy" McGuffey

Jimmy was born October 16, 1949 in Sunnyside, son of the late James McGuffey and the late Daisy Gulledge McGuffey. He was a member of the Sunnyside Baptist Church. Jimmy was a member of the Moose Lodge #1503 where he has held every office including past Governor. He graduated from Griffin High School and was a 1972 graduate of West Georgia College.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Perry McGuffey of Griffin; brother, Dee Stewart of Griffin; special cousin, Hadan Brooks of Jackson and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy McGuffey will be held Monday, May 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Moose Charities, 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539 in memory of Jimmy.
