Jimmie L. Higgins

Mrs. Higgins was born September 22, 1925 in Newton County. She was the daughter of the late Floyd O. and Cardell Vining Long. She was of the Methodist faith and in her early years was a member of Searcy Memorial Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Higgins and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Higgins; grandson, and his wife, Blake and Jennifer Higgins; granddaughter, Paige Higgins; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Higgins and Raegan Higgins; sisters, June Thomas, Jane Bennett, Shirley Ward; brothers, Jerry Long, Billy Long, and Harland Long; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie L. Higgins will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Billy Ray Long will officiate. Friends and relatives are requested to assemble at the graveside.
