Joan Ilona Streit

Mrs. Streit was born on October 30, 1941 in Atlanta, GA. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Thelma Chastain Hutchins. Mrs. Streit will be remembered as a lady that loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never met a stranger and always made a lasting impression. Mrs. Streit’s nickname was “Lucy” after Lucille Ball.

Survivors include her husband, Leo Streit of Williamson; children and their spouses, Joan Patricia and Scott Beckon of Carrolton, Jennifer Dawn Gresham and Johnathon Smith of Williamson, Daniel Lee and April Streit of Williamson, Robert Michael and Ellen Streit of U.S. Army, Shaun Edward and Heather Streit of Williamson; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Farmer of Roswell, Norene Ivie of Brooks, and Diane Tucker of Newnan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joan Ilona Streit will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
