Louise E. Stapleton Ballard

Louise E. Ballard passed away Friday, May 3 at the age of 90. She was born September 30, 1922 to Charlie and Ethel Stapleton and raised in Griffin. Louise met and married Gerald Ballard in 1963 and together they ran a business for several years. They resided in both Atlanta and Jackson Lake during that time and returned to Griffin for retirement. After Gerald’s death in 2002, Louise moved to be with her son Larry and his wife in Tustin, California. Louise is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Survivors include son Larry and daughter-in-law Marie, 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition, she also leaves several treasured nieces and nephews and their families and several Ballard family members.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 1 – 2 p.m. at the funeral home with a Service of Remembrance following at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in the Oak Hill Mausoleum.
