

Mr. Kulp was born February 14, 1945 at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, GA, son of the late Robert C. Kulp and the late Mary Mozelle Andrews Kulp, of Albany GA. He attended Albany High School and was a Charter member of Central Baptist Church. Mr. Kulp served in the U.S. Army and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the Bronze Star for Valor and two purple hearts, among multiple other Army Commendations. Mr. Kulp was an executive with Southern Railroad and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 31 years in 2000. He was an active member of the Griffin Moose Lodge and served as their Chaplain in 2009.
Survivors include his four sons, Robert A. Clark and his wife, Debbie, Robert A. Kulp, Jr. and his wife, Joy, Sgt. Stacey Hollis Kulp and his wife, Carrie of Social Circle, GA and Ben Kulp of Griffin; grandchildren, Andy Clark of Newnan, GA, Holli Kulp, Hannah Kulp, Robert Arthur Kulp, III “Tripp” and Elizabeth Kulp all of Griffin; sisters Florence A. (Andi) Kulp of Griffin, GA and Cornelia (Corky) Kulp Gilmer and brother-in-law, Jim Gilmer of Baton Rouge, LA. Bobby has countless friends from coast to coast with special mention of his friends Jerry Hadley of Griffin, GA, Curtis Greene of Marietta, GA and Kathy Socha of Griffin, GA.
A memorial service for Mr. Robert A. Kulp, Sr. will be held Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family on Sunday 1 hour prior to the service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Robert A. Kulp to Moose Heart Child City & School, owned and operated by Moose Club International by calling 770-228-1173.
