Mrs. Roselyn Ward Mitchell

Mrs. Roselyn Ward Mitchell, age 75 of Griffin, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Spalding Regional Hospital. Mrs. Mitchell was born January 31, 1939 in Griffin, GA, daughter of the late Benjamin Thomas and Alice Carlisle Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Mitchell and her brother, Benny Ward. In her spare time Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed flower gardening, doing needlepoint and reading, but will be most remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Rosanne M. Shields of Griffin, Joelle and Canny Tapley of Griffin; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Michelle Mitchell of Griffin; grandchildren, Allison Mitchell of Gulf Shores, AL, Rob Mitchell of Princeton, NC, Brandon McCoy of Griffin, Jack and Luke Tapley of Griffin; sister-in-law, Shirley Ward of TN. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, Griffin, GA.
