Mr. Roy W. Bass

Mr. Bass was born March 11, 1924, son of the late Clyde Miller Bass and the late Thelma Conger Bass. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy having served 30 years during WWII, Korea and Vietnam and retired from Borden Chemical Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Jeane Bass and brother, Raymond Bass.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Vay Dilleshaw of Griffin; nephew and his wife, Roy & Janet Bass of Norcross; niece & her husband, Sharon & Bill Roach of Bradenton, FL; nephews, Roger Bass and Michael Bass both of Evansville, IN; niece & husband, Dianne & Rod Wallin of Duluth and sister-in-law, Iva Carrico of Evansville, IN.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Roy W. Bass will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Westwood Gardens. Rev. Sandy Finley will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vaughn United Methodist Church, 4761 W. McIntosh Rd., Griffin, GA 30223 in memory of Mr. Bass.

Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Rd., is in charge of arrangements.
