Mrs. Gleaves was born April 26, 1922 in Nashville, TN, daughter of the late Simpson and Annie Mae Marable. She was the widow of the late Dr. Benjamin Gleaves and a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Stephen Wright; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cynthia Gleaves; grandson and his wife, Chris and Jennie Gleaves, great-grandson, Leiten Gleaves; sisters, Dorothy Ann Ramono and Margaret Caldwell.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Marable Gleaves will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
