Wilbert Lawrence Head

Mr. Head was born August 27, 1943. He was preceded in death by four loved ones, father, Adell Head; mother, Mary Lizzie Head and two brothers, John Walter Head and Adell Head, Jr. Wilbert was a retired bus driver for the Spalding County School System.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 27 years, Betty Ann Head; daughter, Angela (Travis) Head of Decatur; 3 granddaughters; 7 step-granddaughters; 8 step-grandsons; 4 step-sons, Jerome (Tammy) Willis of Griffin, Charles Pyant and Randy Pyant both of Griffin and Gary (Tracy) Pyant of Conyers; sisters-in-law, Betty E. Head of Griffin, Ella Head of California, Jacqueline (Rev.) Cooley of Springfield, MA, Sandra Hasting of Connecticut, Milinda Lambert of Conyers and Juanitta Willis of Springfield, MA; brothers-in-law of wife, Willie Willis, Wendell (Patty) Willis and a host of nieces, nephews, one cousin, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilbert Head will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Jester officiating. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
