Mr. Willard Jasper Clark

Mr. Clark was born August 17, 1924 in Veal, GA, son of the late John Daniel Clark and the late Buna Huffman Clark. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin. Mr. Clark was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a member of the Elks Club for over 50 years. His wife, Annie Elizabeth “Betty” Autry Clark preceded him in death.

Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Dwaine & Lynda Clark of Ormond Beach, FL; daughters & sons-in-law, Kay & Bob Burnett of Orchard Hill and Merri & Greg Crawford of Griffin; grandchildren, Dayna & Tony Hagler, Misty Palmer, April Clark, Brad & Tammy Burnett, Michael & Mandy Burnett, Greg & Ashley Crawford; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Jack & Pat Lynch of Rome, GA; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Merrell, Jr. & Joyce Autrey of Atlanta; special friend, Maybelle Harrington and nieces, nephews & cousins.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Willard Jasper Clark will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery. The procession will leave the funeral home at 1:40 p.m. Dr. Bill Hardee and Rev. Denell James will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brightmoor Assisted Living, 3223 Newnan Rd., Griffin, GA 30223 in memory of Mr. Clark.
