

Alison A. Chatterji, age 56, died peacefully on February 5, 2014 after a nine year battle with cancer. A resident of Highland, Indiana, Alison was born in Detroit on April 12, 1957, the daughter of Robert and Barbara Stine. She attended the South Lake High School in St. Clair Shores, college at Oakland Community College and Wright College in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Chatterji was an artist working in the interior design industry. She was most recently affiliated with Brunschwig & Fils in Chicago. Alison enjoyed gardening, watching birds, architectural history, military history, dogs and miniatures (specifically doll houses, homes and towns) Alison is survived by her husband, Devin; her three sons, Shawn Murphy (Jennifer), Ryan Murphy (Reyna Dashefsky) and Adam Gade (Alexandra); her granddaughter, Emma Murphy; her brothers, Jon Stine (Ruth Ann) and Craig Stine; her father, Robert Stine; and her beloved Boxer dogs, Sasha and Elsa. She was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Stine and her brother Todd Stine. The funeral for Mrs. Chatterji will be at 6:00 on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. Rev. David Rutter, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church of St. Clair Shores will officiate. Visitation will precede the funeral from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
