

Anne M. Johnson passed away on Monday, May 22. She was born in Pittsburgh on February 6, 1925, the eldest child of John and Helen Donahue. The family moved to Detroit when she was two years old and grew to include brother John and sisters Patricia and Kathleen. She attended St. Catherine's Grade School and Nativity High School. After high school, she worked in clerical positions for the Hudson Motor Company, where she met Terry Johnson. The couple married on July 31, 1948 at St. Catherine's church. Anne and Terry had three children Jeffrey, Pamela and Timothy and raised them in St. Clair Shores. In 1972, Anne returned to the workforce and became the office manager at Aero Quality Sales, which sold airplane batteries at Detroit City Airport. She was also very active at Austin Catholic Prep high school and cherished the many long-term friendships she developed with other parents. Anne was a 26-year resident of the Manors at Knollwood community and enjoyed cards, board games and other activities with her dear neighbors there. Anne was pre-deceased by her husband Terry in 1977. She is survived by her son Jeff (Patricia), her daughter Pamela Glowacki (Ken), and her son Tim (Sharon); her grandchildren Megan (Cole) Buccafurri, Ali (Evan) Allen, Terance, Jessica, Jaclyn and Timothy; her great-grandchildren Charlotte Allen and a baby boy due in August; and her sister Patricia (Joseph) Werner. A funeral Mass will be held for Anne on Thursday, May 25 at 10 a.m. (instate at (9:30 a.m.) at St. Joan of Arc Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. Memorial contributions to St. Joan of Arc School, 22415 Overlake Street, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080 are greatly appreciated.
