I worked with Audrey at her local bank and can honestly say that she would light up my day when she called in or visited. There was always a hug and a heartfelt conversation. She was genuine, thoughtful and full of love for her family. The world has lost a wonderful woman and I send my deepest condolences to her family.

So sorry to hear about your Mom. I have such great memories sitting next to her at the ND football games. Her hugs after they made a touchdown will stay with me forever! Know that you are in our thoughts. Love, Shelly, Robin, Mae & Bentleigh.

I loved getting to know Grammie last summer at the cottage, and I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing. I'm holding all of the Schmids very close in my heart and prayers.

To the Family of my Good Friend Audrey Schmid: These are very sad times for the Schmid Family and with a heavy heart I too will miss Audrey. Through the years I have only had four of my own clients pass away and when this happens it is tremendously difficult for me. I become attached and very close to each and every one of them. They are like family to me. With Audrey, we shared many memories as she was included in our personal lives. From graduation parties to fundraisers, year after year...Grosse Pointe South Spring Benefit, the Festival of Tables, and of course many Dinner and a Movie Nights. We even went to dinner at Pegasus followed by a fun time at Greek Town Casino on one occasion. She was looking forward to going again. She loved home cooking and so we would give her food such as spinach pies and Greek cookies to take home. Everyone knew her at La Moda because she loved everyone, and always remembered to ask how people were doing. Audrey was a unique and generous person. She was strong and tough, but with a soft interior, and always had a great sense of humor. We will miss Audrey at La Moda and her "Olga Baby" greeting every week when she entered the salon. We always joked that the salon was named Audrey's and not La Moda. As her hairstylist I must tell you how she was so very proud of her family and the amazing stories of their accomplishments made her beautiful blue eyes light up.....and many times tear up. For me it is the end of an era and may God rest her soul. My condolences, Olga (Baby) Tecos

For the family of Aunt Audrey (Ed Jr & Nancy, Gail & Lee, Gerard & Ann, Donald & Lynn, Mary  although there are various memories I recollect now the '87 Gloss extended family reunion held that Labor Day weekend at Roger & Cheryl's home. The weather was great and the chance to visit with everyone there was fantastic!!! Yes, we kids (cousins) were married or soon to be, having kids or would be having them in the years to come. That Saturday was a pause that gave us a chance to relax and to visit, to catch up on the years past, for hugs and best wishes, for new memories to be made. I know for Sheri and I, our kids were little that day and everyone had fun. Almost 30 years have gone by since then, and as in all families, there have been good times, tragic times and the mix of happy & sad tears that unfold along the way. We enjoy the good, work through the hard and thank God for all His blessings. Rest in peace Aunt Audrey, Uncle Ed welcomes you to heaven and for your kids and grandkids, our prayers and love.
