Barbara Belle Piltz

Barbara Belle Piltz (nee: Chatfield) passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the age of 93. Barbara was born in Detroit, the daughter of the late Albert Chatfield and Greeta House Chatfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Neil, in 2010. Sisters Ellen Paskan, Dora Leech, and brother, Nelson Chatfield also preceded her in death.

Barbara had been retired over 30 years from her career with the State of Michigan. In her spare time Barb liked to read, knit, sew, and play her keyboard. She enjoyed travelling with Neil, attending concerts, and visits with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Loving mother of Neil S., Carol (Jerry) Hermann, and Elizabeth (Kelly) Graham. Cherished grandmother of Kevin, Travis (Shannon), and Karly Graham, Jeremy Hernandez-Hermann (Dalia), Joseph (Laura Cheng) and Grace Hermann. Great-grandmother of Maisie Graham.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Greenfield Presbyterian Church, 2312 Greenfield Road, Berkley, Michigan. Visitation will take place at the church beginning at 10 a.m. and continue until the service begins at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to Greenfield Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
