Barbara and I were classmates and friends going back to grade school at St. John The Baptist and through high school at Scared Heart. Please accept my sincere sympathy to her family.

I know how ill she has been recently and has battled illnesses for years. May she now be in peace and free from pain. Barbara was well loved by her Sacred Heart High School classmates. She was instrumental in helping us prepare for our 50 year class reunion to be held on September 18, 2011. Barbara grew up one block from my childhood home in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. I first met her when I was nine years old. We attended St. Sebastian grade school together from 5th - 8th grade and then Sacred Heart High School in Dearborn from 9th - 12th grade. I guess you can say that we grew up together. My brother Mike kept me up to date on Barb's serious health issues. My prayers are that Barb is now home with our Lord and that her family may ultimately find peace with that knowledge. Barb and I were best friends through grade school and into high school. Many moves on my part caused us to lose touch. We were reunited at our 30th HS reunion. I will have a Mass said for her at Our Lady of the Desert, Redemptorist Renewal Center in Tucson, Az and will send a card indicating such to the family. She is in my prayers! Jeanne (Millen) Lemieux

Barb worked very hard in helping to plan her 50th high school reunion. I was very grateful to be able to work with her on the reunion and to appreciate her many abilities. I will miss talking with her. She is in my prayers, as is her family.

Barbara and I were dear friends during elementary and high school. She was a faithful correspondent as my work took me to many places far from our home in Michigan. I remember Barbara as a woman with whom you could always have a conversation of great substance. I would recall for months, sometimes years, things that Barbara had said to me. Until the very end of her full life, one that had far more obstacles and burdens than most; Barbara gave of her considerable talents, her precious energy, and her wisdom. She was deeply loved and will be long remembered by all who valued her enormously. I am honored to among them. My prayers continue for the comfort of her family and thanksgiving to Our Precious Lord for welcoming Barbara to her heavenly home and her eternal reward. Sandra

I am so very sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. I did not know her well but have been in contact with her the past few years since she was doing so much work for her 50th Class Reunion this year. My husband Jim was in her class and since he was deceased, she was so kind to keep me up to date on all of the arrangements and make me feel welcome to come. God Bless her and her family.
