I love you so much Granddad. You are such an amazing man that so many people admired and learned so much from. I'll never forget how you always had a joke for everything and I loved when you and Nonnie would tell me stories from when my dad,aunt Vicki, and aunt nay were growing up. I'm so happy you get to be with your mom, brothers, and especially Koko. My dad and I will feed the birds and squirrels that come to your backyard...they will miss you!!! When I think of Dad McGill I will always remember how kind, patient and giving his spirit was to me. He was always listening even though he was a wealth of knowledge. He always had encouraging words for me when I was at a lost for words. I am a better person and a far better Christian because of the awesome example he will forever be to me. I am forever grateful to GOD for what was deposited into my life from the heart of this mighty man of GOD. Bill was such an integral part of my youth at Maranatha (Warren/Van Dyke). His love of his family, church family and most importantly his Lord was unparalleled. I shall miss his smile.When I first received the word about Bill's passing, in my mind I saw the church sanctuary and all those that had gone on before him sitting in the pews with large smiles on their faces. Knowing he is receiving his rewards and visiting with family and friends brings a smile to my heart. My love and prayers to you Carol and the family.

What a wonderful man of God, is what memories I have of Bill. Always so very friendly. Prayers for the family, but we know that we will see him again and that is a comfort.

Dear Carol, Vicki, Renee, Billy and Family, My heart hurts for you all at such a Great loss. Yet knowing your Husband , Dad/Grandad has found his great reward that he spent a lifetime teaching others about, makes me even the more homesick for Heaven.I pray that as the days go by and you are processing your grief, that somehow the Holy Spirit touches you all in such a way that Peace abides. Bill was loved by so many of us. He is the one and only one that I really ever enjoyed Sunday school with! When he taught us we learned. He was so good. He truly cared about his students and anyone else for that matter. I am so glad I got to tell him this one of the last times I saw him at church. Bill, you have got your reward for the hard work you gave. RIP. You will never be forgotten.

As a former Pastor of Bill it was a privilege to have known him. He had a love for the Lord and was very committed to his church. I remember one of the last times that I preached at Maranatha that he requested that I sing "In The Midst of It All". I watched as he worshipped and wiped the tears from his eyes. He knew that in the midst of his sickness that the Lord was with him and now he is eternally with the Lord never to suffer anymore. Bill will be missed but there will always be great memories to sustain us.

My prayers are for Carol, Vicki, Renee, Billy and all of the rest of the loving family and friends of Bill. Bill was a good man, a good "supportive" friend and church member during the years I was privileged to serve as his pastor. Bill loved the Word of God and was a teacher at heart - studying and developing lessons even at times when he didn't have a place to teach them (and that is someone who really has the "gift" of teaching). I admired his ability to write lessons/sermons and his heart for God and His Word. He will be greatly missed and I will always think fondly of the short time our lives intersected. God bless all of the family and friends at Maranatha Church and hold your head up for "the Lord surely cometh soon" where your reunion with Bill and others is just up ahead!

First of all my love & prayers go out to ya'll. I remember back in the mid to late 70's when Bill was Sunday school superintendent @ Warren Church of God. That is when we first met. He was always funny, happy & always had a story to tell. Soon I will get to see him again & enjoy another story. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

My condolences to the McGill family on the passing of Bill McGill. I remember how he loved teaching God's word and his great smile! He was such a blessing to so many. I pray God's peace and comfort for the friends and family. He was a special man and will be missed by so many.

My heart is breaking for your precious family but I am also rejoicing because I know where Bill is today. Praying the sweet Holy Spirit will comfort u through this difficult time. Love u all.

Club 11 Softball teams number 1 fan. The games will go on but never be the same. We'll all truely miss you!

I will never forget the things you taught me when I was younger. I was in your Sunday school class in the 60s. And you inspired a whole generation of our church members. I won't forget all the good things and good times we had in that era. Later you brought that same enthusiasm in teaching softball to the young kids at our church. You will be missed by many.
