Bobbie Lou (Hicks) was born on October 1, 1932 in Fulton Kentucky to the late James and Rhoda Hicks. As a young family they moved to Detroit, Michigan where Bobbie attended East Commerce High School. She met the love of her life, the late Ronald H. Seibel in school. The story goes Ron purposely flunked typing class, so he and Bobbie could graduate in the same class. They were married on December 1, 1951. They raised two children Linda and Kenneth.
Bobbie worked for various companies as a bookkeeper/accountant. She was a true career woman that loved going to work and using her leadership skills in the business world. She retired from Chase Bank 1987.
Bobbie also had a passion for bowling, traveling and visits to casinos. She and Ron bowled in 2-3 leagues a week for years and were officers for many. They traveled to many cities with friends for bowling conventions. In the summer, they packed up the car with the kids and headed cross country for fun-filled days of sightseeing.
Bobbie was a get it done kind of woman, not much got in her way. She loved her condo life and as her health started diminishing, she managed to stay there with the help of her caregivers, Toni and Debbie.
Bobbie was preceded in death by an infant brother Carl, her parents, daughter-in-law Mary Kay and her husband Ron.
Surviving family includes, daughter Linda (Kim Fouch), son Kenneth (late Mary Kay). Granddaughters Amanda (Rob) Bast and Erica (Drew) Valimont. Great-grandchildren Ava, Jax and Lincoln, who she adored. As well as her grand dogs that she loved to spoil.
The family would like to thank HarborChase Memory Care and the Heart to Heart Hospice staff for the care that she has received over the last year.
