Bobby Wayne Freeman, age 62 of Roseville, passed away with family by his side on October 2, 2018. He was born in Detroit on December 8, 1955; the son of Calvin Coolidge and Sarah Jane (nee Ramey) Freeman. Bobby proudly worked at I.F. Metalworks in Roseville as a Fabricator and Finisher for 16 years. Within that time, he worked on many well-known displays such as the replica of the Mackinaw Bridge at the DIA, as well as projects at Little Ceasers Arena and many more. His talents also carried over into his ability to do auto mechanic work. He was often found helping others, even when inconvenienced, to fix their cars or bikes. He loved his Harley, cartoons and most of all his kids and neighbors kids. Being a child himself, he was often referred to as "the pied piper of kids". He would like to get them into trouble by starting food fights, water fights and wrestling matches. He liked to tease and laugh when they found themselves in trouble. Even then, his mischievousness came from a soft place in his heart. A great example of this is his fondness for letting his grandkids and neighbors kids snuggle next to him and play with his ear lobes for hours. Bobby always did consider himself an outlaw and a trouble maker. His easy-going nature did have its limits and he could occasionally be short-tempered, but his kindness would always shine through. Bobby is dearly loved and deeply missed. Loving father of Karen (Lance) Weindel, Anthony Potter, Joshua (Tina) Freeman, Kelly (Ben) Steele, Bobbie Jo (Bryon Keith) Freeman, Brian (Kari) Potter, Nona Cruz, Stacy (Donald) Thomas and Tyler Trbovich. Cherished grandfather of 24 and great-grandfather of 4. Former husband of Frankie M. Westberry and Nona D. McFarland. Dear brother of Norma Waelchli, Diane (Paul Byrne) Freeman, Harold (Suk) Freeman, Carolyn (the late George) Blanton, Sheila (Bill) Porritt and the late Barbara, Charles and Kenneth. Bobby is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bobbys family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4th and Friday, October 5th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. A funeral ceremony for Bobby will take place on Saturday, October 6th at 11:00 AM. Immediately following a committal service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
