Brian Richard Gallagher

Brian was born on July 28,1970 in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI to Thomas and Christine (nee Palombit) Gallagher. Brian attended Grosse Pointe South High School and went on to further his education at Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. On July 15, 2000, he married Jennifer Ann Kooistra. Together, they lovingly raised their children Caroline and Jack.

A self-employed artist, Brian had a passion for oil painting and sculpting. He also loved baseball, sports and fitness. By combining the things that he loved, Brian created fantastic works of art. His paintings of sports legends were much admired. Described by his friends and family, Brian was a devoted friend and family man who was generous, kind and compassionate. He will be remembered for his great narratives, love of 1970's pop culture and sports (especially the Detroit Tigers).

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer and his two children, Caroline and Jack, his mother, Christine (nee Palombit) Gallagher, his sister Bernadette (nee Gallagher) Platt, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.

A celebration of Brian's life is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2020, 12 Noon at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lakeshore, Grosse Pointe Farms.
