Carol Sue Habel

Carol Sue Habel, a resident of Detroit, passed away on June 14, 2019 at the age of 67. A daughter of Andrew and Jeanette (nee Weinberg), she was born on January 24, 1952 in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Carol attended Laura F. Osborne High School before earning her master's degree from Wayne State University. She made her career as an occupational therapist at St. Joseph Hospital-Fox Center and other locations. In 2002, she retired. Carol loved horses big and small- she drove minis with the Blue Water Miniature Horse Club and rode at DJM Quarter Horses. Dear sister of Annette and Paul (Deborah). Cherished aunt of Elizabeth (Zachary) Fahrni. Proud great-aunt of Andrew Fahrni. Loving owner of Angel and Duchess. Carol will be missed by many friends and family. Carol will lie in state on Tuesday, June 18, from 11:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack Ave., Saint Clair Shores, Michigan 48080. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. Contributions in Carol's memory may be made to Saving Grace Miniature Horse Rescue, 5846 Craven Rd., Emmett, Michigan 48022.
