Carole Jean Foremski

She married her high school sweetheart Giles (Guy) Foremski on January 20, 1968, and were married for over 56 years, until her death. She grew up on Roscommon St. in Harper Woods and lived there until she and Guy married then moved back to Harper Woods on Woodside St in 1970, and they have lived there ever since. A lifelong resident of Harper Woods where she raised her 2 children. She was not only the mother of two, but also a mother figure to many of the neighborhood kids of the block, and a lot of them also called her mom and still do to this day.

She worked for Aggarwal and Associates for the better part of 40+ years as the office manager at their downtown Detroit office then moved to their office in Warren where she retired.

Carole was an avid reader in her spare time, she loved her romance novels, as well as crocheting and calligraphy. And in her later years she loved watching her shows, especially Young Sheldon. Carole also loved spending time reading to or cooking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carole was survived by her husband, Guy Foremski, her son Dennis Foremski, son-in-law Robert Gorniak, her grandchildren Joey (Julie) Gorniak, Danny (Cheyenne) Gorniak, Michael Foremski, Devin Gorniak, Kyle Martin, Samantha Martin, Haley Martin and Noah Thomas, grandchildren, Stella and Colton Gorniak and her brothers George Montgomery and Bruce (Terry) Montgomery, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carole was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Mary Montgomery, and her beloved daughter Susan Gorniak.

A visitation for Carole will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A funeral service will occur Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home.
