Catherine Maxwell

Catherine Jane Maxwell was born July 6, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Harry and Elizabeth Loper. She grew up living near 7 Mile Rd. and John R. Rd. She was a proud graduate of Pershing High School. Cathy entered into rest July 19, 2017 in her home in Warren, at the age of 83. An active member of the First United Methodist Church of Warren, Cathy was involved in several church groups and was well known by many of the members. She enjoyed China painting and spending time with her family as well as gardening. Catherine is the beloved wife of the late Donald Loyd Maxwell, of 49 years. She leaves behind her sons Donald Lee (Lisa) and Andrew (Ellen). She was extremely proud of her 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by her bother Harry (Connie) Loper. Visitation for Cathy will be Sunday July 23, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd., at Masonic (13 Mile Rd) in Warren. She will lie Instate Monday July 24, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of service 11:00am at First United Methodist Church of Warren, 5005 Chicago Rd. Warren 48092. Officiated by Reverend Susan Yousman. Following the service at church a committal service will be held at Roseland Park Cemetery.
