Chester Richard Jewiarz was born May 29, 1930 in Detroit and entered into rest February 1, 2018 in Grosse Pointe at the age of 87. Chester was predeceased by his parents Caroline and Joseph and his brother Eugene and sister Delphine. Graduate of St. Stanislaus High School Class of 1948, U.S. Korea War Veteran of 4 years, Major Associates of Brother Andre and retired from the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department. Visitation Sunday 1:30 pm to 8:00 pm with rosary at 6:30 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods 48236. Funeral Monday; instate 9:30 am until time of mass 10:00 am at the Blessed John Paul II Parish, 5830 Simon K., Hamtramck, Michigan 48212. Father Andrew Wesley will be officiating. Burial at Mt.
