Dean Parker Brunke, 77, of Grosse Pointe Farms, passed away on August 31, 2012. He was born on June 25, 1935 to Russell and Elsie Brunke in Detroit, MI. He graduated from Grosse Pointe High and attended Wayne State University for two years. Dean worked as a purchaser for Michigan Bell Telephone Company. He married Ann Bacon in 1961. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans' Club, Elks, Grosse Pointe Senior Men's Club, Men's & Women's Garden Club, Rose Society, Past President of Fraternal Order of Police, and Newsletter Editor for the Michigan Orchid Society. Dean is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Ann, and his children Russell Dean Brunke and Susan Deann Brunke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Elsie Brunke. Mr. Brunke will be cremated and his cremated remains will be inurned at Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit, MI.
