Dennis Thomas Kennedy

Dennis Thomas Kennedy, 79, of Clinton Township passed away on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born in Hamtramck, MI on March 23rd, 1941 to the late Stanley Macziewski and Joann Macziewski-Kennedy.

He provided for his family by working as an electrician for several institutions which included Blue Cross Blue Shield and the city of Warren. After his retirement he and his wife bought a lake house in Tawas where they lived from 2004 until 2018. Dennis will be remembered as a collector of many things; among the articles he collected were watches, light bulbs and other miscellaneous things. He will be remembered for always puttering with things around the house. In his earlier years he participated in scouting with his son. Dennis often would visit local garage sales with his cousin Steve; they called this event “Antiquing”.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara; his two children, Eric Kennedy (Lynn Hensley) and Julianne Myers (Steven); his granddaughter, Parker; as well as numerous extended family and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th, 2020 from 2:00 until 8:00 PM in A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 19th, 2020 in-state at 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church (31555 Hoover Rd., Warren, MI 48093).
