Donald George Molloy

Molloy, Donald G. Age 84 A resident of Sterling Heights died August 22, 2010, Shelby Township. Born September 28, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert and Alice Molloy. Mr. Molloy retired in 1984 from General Motors as a General Director of Product Programming at Chevrolet. He was a member of K of C Council #6865. Donald was a Army of Veteran of WW II having served with the 397th Infantry in Rhineland, Central Europe. He was the recipient of Purple Heart, EAME Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars (in lieu of multiple awards), Distinguished Unit Badge, Victory Medal WW II, and Good Conduct Medal. Donald was the loving father of Lawrence (Nancy), Linda Russell, Kathleen Markovitch, Robert (Kim), Mary Beth Butler, Janet (Larry) Mackezyk, Carol (Garrett) Hess. PROUD grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jack (Patricia) Molloy. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Jane, son James, Son-in-law Richard Markovitch and sister Mary Holler. Funeral Wednesday St. Blase Catholic Church, 12151 15 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights Instate 10:30am until time of Mass 11am. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery with military honors. Visitation at A.H.Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic Tuesday 2pm until 9pm with a Prayer Service held at 7pm.
