Donald "Don" Walker

Donald "Don" Walker, a resident of Grand Blanc, formerly of Grosse Pointe Woods, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 in Troy, MI. Don was born in Detroit on Friday, September 16, 1932 to Bertram and Cassie Walker.

Beloved husband of Shirley Brunet married October 7, 1983.

Loving father of Allison, Cyndie (the late Rich) Maddigan, and the late Jason.

Dear grandfather of Chris, Erin (Ibrahima) Diallo, Rebecca (Kevin) Werner, Kathleen Maddigan, Kristina Maddigan.

Great-grandfather of Zaidy Diallo.

Loved brother of Marilynn Borden.

Don was a well qualified attorney and served as a prosecutor for the Wayne County for 27 years and retired in 1994. When Don wasn't working he could be found on the golf course. He was an avid golfer and had the privilege to play a round with Arnold Palmer at Indianwood Golf & Country Club. He had proudly earned 3 hole-in-ones in his playing days. When Don wasn't golfing he enjoyed traveling with his family. He and his dear wife Shirley traveled all over Europe and even visited France twice to celebrate the liberation of Paris, France.

Visitation Thursday 3-8PM at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236.

Funeral service Friday 10AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Don's memory may be made to the Police Officer's Association.
