Whenever I think of Auntie Dot, I remember most her giggle, her amazing energy, her deep faith, her unconditional love of her family (and Florida)!  Her phone calls and visits over the years were always special occasions; her presence truly a blessing to all who knew her. And who can forget her McAllister grin!   A few of my favourite memories of Auntie Dot include:  - the time she introduced my brothers and I to the world of television, and especially, to Howdy Doody, during our visit to her home in the mid 1950s … (not to mention her forgiveness when we accidently flooded her bathroom!)  - how honoured she made us kids feel on one of her early visits to Canada, when she presented each of us with white bibles with our names individually engraved on the front covers.  - the kindness and support she extended to my Dad and all our family when she travelled all the way to British Columbia for my Mom’s funeral in 1988.  - all the wonderful happy travel adventures my sister and I shared with Auntie Dot, Auntie Mary and the rest of our Canadian family during their most recent visit to Vancouver in the mid 2000s.  I'll continue to think of her often - always with love in my heart and a McAllister grin on my face.  My deepest condolences go out to Wayne, Amanda, Kaitlin and all those who loved this her. May your happy memories sustain you during this time and may Auntie Dot rest in Great Peace.

Sending condolences from ‘Aunty Dot’s’ great niece, Megan McAllister in Vancouver BC. We only met a couple times when I was quite young but I remember her loving energy. My condolences to the family.

She was known to me as Aunty Dot or Aunty peanuts. I will always remember her dressing up like a clown and surprising us as kids when she came to BC. She always had a smile on her face and made us smile as well.   I will miss her visits and talking with her for hours on the phone with three way conversations between her sister Mary, Aunty Dot and myself.  Her sister Mary would like to say that she will miss her dearly.  Our love and hearts go out to the family.

Mac was one of the strongest, funniest, loving women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.....we shared many hot chocolates and tears and laughs while we both were caring for Wendall.....I am sure she is gonna have one heck of a Christmas with her boy who is waiting with a big hug and laugh for his momma! My love and thoughts go out to Amanda, Kaitlyn and Wayne and the rest of that wonderful family.
