Dorothy Minetola

Dorothy Minetola passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 12, 2018 at the age of 94. She was born in Detroit on August 19,1923; daughter of David and Florence (nee Schneider) Brock. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage together until Victors death in 2015. On June 3, 1944 Dorothy married Victor Minetola (while he was serving in the Army Air-Corp,) at Messiah Lutheran Church in Detroit. She liked to laugh and going out to dinner with family. She was excellent at cake decorating. Her strong Christian faith was only rivaled by her love of her family. She leaves behind her loving children Victor (Suzanne), Mary Ann (Gary) Otsuji, John (Allyson), Peter (Beaux), and Albert (Shelia). She adored her 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her sister Gloria Rizzo and Brother Don Brock. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:30 pm until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Dorothy will lie instate on Monday from 10am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 42681 Hayes Rd., Sterling Heights. Dorothy will be interred next to her beloved Victor at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
