

E. Philip Adamaszek, a beloved husband, father, and lifelong Grosse Pointer, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025. Born on September 29, 1939, to Martin and Emelia Adamaszek, he leaves behind a legacy of love and a zest for life.
Philip was a devoted Catholic who graduated from Georgetown University and subsequently earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He dedicated over 50 years of his life to the legal profession, serving as a public defender and embodying a strong sense of justice and compassion.
A man of diverse passions, Philip was an avid birder, hunter, and coin collector. His love for the natural world extended beyond his hobbies, as he cherished his many animal companions throughout his life. From dogs and cats to pigeons, chickens, raccoons, falcons, foxes, and numerous others, Philip embraced the beauty and companionship of all creatures.
Philip was a loving and supportive father to his sons, Philip and Mark (spouse Bill), and a devoted husband to his wife, Charlotte. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Philip was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Emelia Adamaszek, and his sibling, Martin Adamaszek.
A visitation for Earl will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236.
An instate will occur Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A funeral mass will occur Friday, January 31, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
