Elizabeth "Liz" Jones, affectionately known as "Sister" by her family and close friends, was born on May 14, 1950, in Bessemer, Alabama, to the late Charlie & Dorothy Jones (Stephens). She was the second child in a family of nine siblings.
Liz accepted Christ at an early age. In her youth, she moved with her family to Detroit, Michigan, where she attended Detroit Public Schools and earned her Diploma from Kettering High School. She later attended Sawyer Business School. She built a successful career at Chrysler and later decided to pursue her entrepreneurial ambitions and achieved her dream of owning her own cleaning business, from which she retired.
Liz gained her wings on October 23, 2024. She is deeply loved and will be deeply missed by her immediate family, relatives and friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM.
