We first met Fran when she visited Australia to see her son, Bill. Fran's genuine kindness was apparent and her love of life infectious. We visited the Higbie family at their home in Gross Pointe and were honoured to be part of the celebrations for Peter's 80th birthday. Fran was a gracious hostess who showed great pride in her city. Peter and Fran shared a marvellous group of friends. Fran had a very generous spirit and always seemed to be smiling. Thank you Fran for sharing your family with us. Deepest sympathy to Peter and family.

I first met Frannie at the Spiritual Life Center of Midtown Detroit during one of its first services in December. Her presence there each week was like a shining light. Although we didn't get to know one another well, I felt a warmth from her that made me feel that she was a friend in which one could confide and trust. Her transition was such a shock as to leave me feeling robbed of the opportunity to get to know her better. My condolences go to Pete in the loss of his best friend. I am grateful to have known this beautiful and vibrant woman.

When I moved to GPP in 1975 and joined the local League of Women Voters, I met Frannie at one of the many Chinese dinners she hosted at your lovely Kercheval home. She had such a warm, gregarious personality, and we always shared a hug and good thoughts everytime we saw one another. I am so sad she is gone. We also shared a fondness for Bess Bonnier and shared many tales of caring for Bess. My deepest sympathy to your family. Your wife/Mom was a delight and true friend. God's blessings to all.
