

Frank was a highly decorated World War II veteran, faithfully serving in the Army Air Corps. After the war, Frank met the love of his life, Dorothy, whom he was married to for 40 wonderful years. Frank was a very hard working man, constantly providing for his family. He also enjoyed the quiet solitude of his farm that he built himself up in northern Michigan. He was also an unforgettable man, leaving his legacy behind with everyone he met. Frank touched many lives, and was an amazing man. He will be missed by so many.
Frank was predeceased by parents, Anthony and Constance Lopetrone; loving wife, Dorothy Lopetrone; siblings, Pat (Mary) Lopetrone, Mary (Joseph) Lamia, Rose (Alfred) Paparelli, Jennie (Angelo) Lamia, Antoinette (Bill) Carroll, and Josephine Klem.
Frank is survived by his loving children, the late Anthony (Deborah) Lopetrone, Gregory (Audrey) Lopetrone, and Constance (Tony) Karpinski; adored grandchildren, Frank Lopetrone, Karen Troutman, Anthony Karpinski, Stephen Lopetrone, Thomas Karpinski, Christine Karpinski, and Michael Karpinski; cherished brother, John (Josephine) Lopetrone; as well as brother-in-law, Jim Klem. He’s also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Frank will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. A rosary will occur Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. An instate will occur Monday, August 28, 2023 at 9:30 AM, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236.
