Frank Alexander Marinello was born on April 15th 1962 and passed away at the age of 58 on November 17th 2020 after a long 20 year battle with heart disease along with various other heath issues. He was born to Alexander Marinello and the late Anna Marie (Ernandez) Marinello in Detroit, Michigan.
Frank loved every aspect of life. His smile and his laughter brought light to every darkness. He got so much joy out of making others happy. Especially his wife and son who were his whole world. Frank did this in more ways than one; from his music, to his cooking, to his jokes. Frank loved his career as a guitar player. He played many performances, participated in various recordings, and taught many students that meant so much to him. These students were either taught at home, in music studios, or at Stevenson High School where he participated in the band program. Frank played all genres of music, his favorites being Blues and Jazz. Many of his performances were played using his guitar of choice, his Gibson ES 347. He was heard by many on recordings and in concert with the group Brazil and Beyond. Frank was known for being the best at what he did, and the most humble all at once. Food was also a big part of Frank’s life. One of his favorite things to do was to gather friends and family and serve the wonderful food he prepared. There was no pasta like Frank’s pasta. A defining characteristic of Frank’s personality was his faith to the Catholic Church. His relationship with God was so powerful and pure, he prayed for every person he knew and will continue to watch over us as he rests.
He is survived by his beloved and cherished wife of 24 years Luma Marinello and his son Christopher Marinello. He was a loving brother to Alex Marinello and Cathie (Joe) Palma, uncle to Shelly (Rob) Spinazzola, and great uncle to Gianna. He will also be dearly missed by his in-laws who loved him as their own son, brother, and uncle. Frank had many amazing friends and students who he considered family as well.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic.
